Service & panel upgrades

100 to 200 amp service, new panels and meter sockets, sized for what your home runs today.

When the breakers trip often, the panel is full, or you are adding an EV charger, heat pump or addition, the service and panel are usually where the job starts. We size the upgrade to your real load, pull the permit, coordinate with the utility and inspector, and label every circuit when we are done. Most panel upgrades are finished in a day, depending on what the existing system needs.

  • 100 A to 200 A service upgrades
  • Panel replacements
  • Meter sockets and service disconnects
  • Circuit labeling and panel directories

Whole-home surge protection

A surge protective device at the panel or meter that guards every circuit, not just the outlet strip.

Thunderstorms, utility switching and big motors starting and stopping all send voltage spikes through a house. A whole-home surge protective device diverts that excess voltage before it reaches the appliances, furnace boards and electronics you can’t plug into a power strip. We install surge protection on existing panels as well as new ones.

Troubleshooting & repairs

Dead outlets, tripping breakers, flickering lights, partial power loss and scorched devices, found and fixed.

We trace the fault with the right meters instead of guessing, explain what we found, and repair it safely and to code. Typical calls are outlets or switches that quit, breakers that will not stay on, lights that flicker or dim, and a half of the house that went dark. Troubleshooting is a paid service; the free evaluation below is a separate safety check.

  • Outlets and switches that don’t work
  • Tripping breakers and GFCIs
  • Flickering or dimming lights
  • Partial power loss
  • Prompt emergency repairs

EV charger installation

Level 2 chargers at home or at work, with the load calculation and capacity check done first.

Before we hang a charger we check whether your service and panel can carry it. Then we run the dedicated circuit, mount the charger or receptacle where the cable reaches the car, and make sure it is installed to code and to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Level 2 home chargers
  • Dedicated 240 V circuits
  • Capacity and load checks
  • Business and workplace charging

Lighting, fans & switches

Fixtures, ceiling fans, under-cabinet and accent lighting, outdoor and landscape lighting, and new switches.

From swapping a builder-grade fixture to lighting a whole kitchen, we install indoor fixtures, under-cabinet and accent lighting, ceiling fans (including in rooms that never had one), outdoor security and landscape lighting, and updated switches and dimmers. Energy-efficient LED options are the norm.

  • Light fixture replacement
  • Ceiling fan installation
  • Under-cabinet and accent lighting
  • Outdoor, security and landscape lighting
  • Switch and dimmer replacement

New construction & remodels

Electrical planning, wiring, panels, lighting design and outlet placement for new builds and remodels.

On a new build or a remodel we plan the electrical layout with you, then handle the rough-in wiring, panel, lighting and outlet placement, fixture installs and final inspection. On remodels that includes rewiring, fixture updates and system upgrades.

  • New-build wiring
  • Remodel rewiring and system upgrades
  • Kitchen and whole-room remodels

Permits & inspections

We apply for the electrical permit and coordinate the inspection so the work is on record and code-compliant.

Most electrical work in Cecil County and New Castle County needs a permit and an inspection. We take care of the application, schedule the inspection and meet the inspector, so you are not chasing paperwork or risking delays at resale.

  • Inspection scheduling
  • Code-compliance corrections

Outlets & circuits

New outlets where you need them, GFCI protection, and replacement of worn or scorched receptacles.

Extension cords everywhere and scorched outlets are both signs the wiring needs attention. We add outlets, replace worn and damaged receptacles, and install GFCI protection in kitchens, baths, garages and outdoors.
